I do generally agree with the sentiment of Austin and the other hosts that fundamentals will always win out in the long run, and this by nature is a long term industry, even the sales side I'm learning.  

Leverage your construction skills for flips, start with smaller projects to minimize risk, and consider house hacking or long-term rentals for a steady income.

OK, good luck with that if you have easily accessible assets like a home you don't live in.Meanwhile, what are the odds a term life insurance policy pays out?
