A lot of newer investors want to get started in Real Estate and then turn the riskiest type of investment. 

I currently have about 50,000 saved and want to start putting it to use, knowing real estate is one of if not the safest investments.

Over the course of using Bigger Pockets I have had very degrees of opinions on who I should vote for concerning a post.When I first started using Bigger Pockets, I was too naïve to even think of voting for someone that took the time to answer one of my post.  

For connecting with local resources like mortgage brokers, investors, and agents, the Austin Real Estate Investors Association (REIA) is a great starting point.

I have been reading the online resources about getting started, searching the market, and even doing tours, but I am hesitant to jump in and buy a house as I have quite a large amount of student debt.

As I start down one path, I have more questions which leads me down other paths with even more questions. 

If I would have bought a sustained portfolio with multiple units rather than starting with a single purchase I truly believe I would have lost a lot of money while my systems flailed rapidly attempting to catch up. 

House hacking is the BEST way to get into real estate investing and that's how I personally got started as well too.

@Andy Ptak when jumping into the industry you have a few choices:1) Start at the bottom2) Leverage your experience to convince someone to give you a chance3) Decide between:--- Big companies who will usually start you at the bottom--- Small companies that will more like to a chance on hiring you for an above entry level position.
