Finishing a job is always harder than starting a job.The great thing for me about hiring handymen to do jobs is that they understand that they're nice to have, not necessary to have, and that I can step in as the handyman of last resort at any time I want to.

Two reasons come to mind:1) As a last resort after exploring a 1031 exchange, I would sell to get the cash to finance other deals.2) Retire to go traveling and don't want to deal with the tenants and bills.  

My guess is if disney resorts are in the 500 bucks and my str is in 200 bucks i might still be ok.

Answer Many  however keep in mind our banks wont let us get out over our ski tips.. 

Also want active RE income from rehabs (primarily SF, but could also be small MF or even small retail).Other criteria/wants on the list:-  Mountains...real mountains, not hills or far off across the grasslands mountains, but real mountain views and access to hiking and skiing, etc.-  Family friendly and decent schools- Within 1 hour of a really good children's hospital and an even closer decent ER.- Within 1 hour of an airport- Low taxes!! 

food all free was off the charts good.people have all sorts of amenities who work there you would never have to buy food  at least during the week breakfast lunch dinner snacks.. its also like a nice resort and spa... what a place.

Account Closed says we do have a current abundance of student oriented (Resort Type) properties.My properties are SFR, and my prime tenant are typically people with Kids, based on Schools, bedrooms, locations, etc.

So it is possible for you to have several 1031 rental properties (preferably really nice investment properties located near beaches or ski resorts :) that you can transition into hold and sell taking the 121 portion of profit tax free each time. 

The issue we are having is an extreme lack of inventory (as I am sure everyone is dealing with) as we move to VT in the ski town of Stowe.

It was true with normal resorts and hotels before gig economy.
