If there is no written policy and nothing in writing leading up to this by both parties you may have a bigger problem on your hands.I am not sure about your area, but sometimes these situations, you are treated guilty until you can factually prove otherwise.

I think we would be safe from fraternization issues if we invested together...and I know we wouldn't blame the other if a deal went south...that being said, guilt is often in the eye of the beholder in the military haha.
