Hi  All I am new to STR game and am planning to start with investing in Boston area or nearby suburbs as I have spent last 10 years in Boston.

With a grocery store within walking distance, easy access to the highway and train station, a nearby Home Depot, and ongoing renovations and new developments in the area, it felt like a no-brainer.

While most of the steady jobs are north of the city, as previous comments said, there are a few big HQs near the airport (Porsche, Delta, etc.) and several movie studios nearby.

I've been looking at comparable properties nearby and the median is in the low 2k range I'm thinking mine may go a little higher since it's a corner property with a lot of light but really looking to see if the conversion would make sense financially because I've been reading those articles about the costs being exorbitant. 

I notice that people on these forums suggest multifamily quite a bit and the market here in Charlotte is pretty slim so I looked in nearby cities.
