Refinished the original floors (massive value increase), fixed the heating and air system, painted all rooms, cleaned up the yard for curb appeal What was the outcome?

I’m in NH not far from the Maine border and paid 12,700 for a natural gas combo heat/hot water unit to be installed.

We started out splitting the Heat, Water & Sewer on a over/under duplex.

My contractor works on many homes and he at times will find someone willing to sell off market. 

Its a central heating and air system that disperses hot or cold water to each unit through a network of pipes.

Fortunately I moved to SF in 1994 and along with the dot com boom, I could see gentrification in the city being much more fluid than Santa Clara.

Here are some that I'm aware of:- Galvanized pipes - typically 40-50 useful life, could rust from the inside out, could get eventual pipe failure- Zinsco or Fed Pacific electric panels w/ aluminum wiring that could be a major fire hazard- Wiring in general (e.g. knob and tube)- Asbestos in the walls- Lead paint- Heating system - boiler?

Smoke detectors, GFCI outlets, handrails, working heat and hot water, etc.

Now, the headlines are saying things like we may have avoided a recession, the FED stopped rate hikes, Mortgage rates are dropping, Housing markets are heating up in 2024.
