It sounds like you skirted around the rules and and are now caught with your hand in the cookie jar.

If you want to go modular and work with a cookie-cutter-type design, that could be easier to estimate.

It doesn't have to be something electronic-- I am looking for input on things that you have done that people enjoy and sell a house more quickly and for more money-- even just tiny things (like bake cookies before an open house-- I haven't done it before but that is the age old thing to do right)?   

As blunt as this sounds, it's how the cookie crumbles.

I contacted them and they told me to log in and to clear my cookies, reset password, etc., or call this number.

It likely has cookie cutter cabinets, appliances, and fixtures that can be easily replaced.

Be polite to the employee and even offer something to him (can of pop, homemade cookies, 6 pack of beer in a unmarked bag...).

While our homes are larger and somewhat unique, and your expectations should be lower with more of a cookie-cutter 4 or 5 bedroom, our gross rents average 4-5x the mortgage payment or so.
