What are the pros and cons of purchasing a multi-family property from an auction?

You can look them up on your county site: foreclosures, divorce, death, auction, tax liens.

Hi, so I won a tax deed at an auction for a vacant lot but I am trying to determine if there are a bunch of leins on it.

But here in upstate NY if it's a town/city/county tax lien auction & you win the bid there is no redemption, assuming the city/town then approves the bid.

Sometime their are weird things that go on at these auctions. 

Once I found Tax Deeds and I got title immediately, I made buying tax lien certificates secondary.Now I still work both, but focus now on getting land at the Tax Deed auctions and placing tiny homes on them. 

Every week, the King County, Washington sheriff's office posts a list of judicial foreclosure auctions from that Friday morning, with the starting bid and final selling price for each home. 

This is similar to people at auctions saying that the dealers are outbidding them on everything.
