Alden Global Capital, known for owning the Chicago Tribune, has invested in Chicago's delinquent property taxes. With a total expenditure of nearly $2.4 million, Alden's venture purchased unpaid taxes on over 600 properties during Cook County's annual auction.

 THis was why after about 3 months I got out of tax liens. Most areas its the big boys that buy them, especially online sales and I could not find a competitive advantage for myself
