This is a 100% of assessed value of property.If you temporary move from your homestead and do not establishe a principal residence elsewhere you keep your exemption for 2 years. 

I have one more year here then hopefully I transfer to either Texas or Tennessee to do my four years of shore duty then I am out.

Appreciation over the last years is a reflection of the school districts - we had an average of 7.4% according to MLS for the metro area, with strong groth in the outskirts and areas along the lake shore and flatline in many parts of the inner city.

I purchased a property in the  South Shore area. 

Should have found a handy man and ordered some flex seal and make do with what you have... partly a joke but also if the quotes were more than the funds available than you should have found another fix since there should always be a reserve fund for the next issue to come up so I would have suggested a temporary fix <2000$ like caulking and flex seal etc...

Temporary i extended the pipe with a extension so it lands on grass, but it then blocks parking to side of house. 

I think of febreeze of being more of a temporary solution (I could be wrong).

It's actually a pretty sweet place in the La Jolla Shores area.

Or south side neighborhoods like South Shore, Hyde Park, etc.Just outside city:  Forest Park, Berwyn, and Cicero are also good working class areas where taxes dont kill cash flow just yet.
