Storage areas can include built-in cabinets, closets, attic space, and even outdoor sheds, etc.Laundry: Including a laundry area and machines is a big bonus for tenants, as they compare that with apartment living where they would have to use common laundry machines that require payment.HVAC: Make sure to include an effective dual heating & air-conditioning system to service the ADU, so your tenant is comfortable in the unit.Kitchen island: It may be difficult to squeeze in a kitchen island in a small ADU, but it’s a big bonus if you can make the space.

There were times when maintenance was needed (new shower head, sliding closet doors, fresh paint from bags hitting walls, etc.), but we had a handy man who took care of all that for us.

I had to coach him through changing it over the phone because the closets have linear fluorescents, and he didn't know what to do.I'm focusing on the day job now, but I had to share.

There are some portable cleaners that heat to higher temperatures, but they often come with two power cords, because they need two power circuits to reach the high temperature and provide suction.  2.

It is a simple change and the room already has 2 egress and all I need is a closet.

Prior to the repainting, our property manager had shown us photos of holes + scuffed paint, many of which were in the closets.

Also, I am personally not a fan of open closets.

Everything from the rehab, the staging, all the way to the owners closets are the exact same.

What about one room, or even a closet?
