I think you also answered my follow-up question regarding comparing/contrasting an Indie market to the WDC/NOVA where I will likely move in circa 3 years. 

NoVa essentially has zero multifamily homes.  

I am a licensed real estate broker thinking of joining MAR/NAR so I don't think I am breaking any rules here.I don't mind showing available houses for sale on MLS on my website using IDX raw feed like I see most big RE shops are doing.

I don't know about the Richmond area, but @Elizabeth Nourse is a broker that does exactly that in the NoVA area.

Hi @Mar MaldonadoWelcome, I second @Russell Brazil with the exception that you could call an agent and say "I saw your listing at 123 main street and would like to see it" and they will walk you through happily.
