Researching Tax Liens

Hi everyone, I live in Virginia and just invested in my first tax lien on a 90-acre piece of land in Polk County Florida. The property owner redeemed in two months and I got the minimum return of 5%. Now I'm ready to invest in another. 

Is this typical to see the owner redeem so quickly? 

Does anyone on here have experiences investing in tax liens they'd like to share?
