You could also try to take a loan against some of your equity.I'm a Suze Orman fan, and one of the drums that she likes to beat is that a 401K can't be touched in bankruptcy, whereas in CA (don't know what it is in your state), only $100K of your home value can be protected by creditors, and of course, your rental properties are not protected at all.

That said, if you do get them and you choose a "fancy" front loader washing machine I would post some rules about leaving the washer door open, physically drying excess water off the door and drum, and any other instructions to prevent mildew because those units are evil and you will get mildew stains when your tenants leave, especially if they're used to normal washers.

These range from legitimate companies solidly backed perhaps by Wall Street and those lending their own money with something to actually lose, to anyone who claims to represent a lender.Many lenders offer affiliate programs where they explain their lending criteria to you and you go out and drum up business for them, earning a commission and with little regard for the borrower.
