Not really a short sale per se, might have been accrued interest on a NPN that was dropped is paid.Forth, any lien holder, a materials or labor lien from a past project to be paid or arranged to be paid.Fifth possibility, some liens are forgiven by municipalities, partially paid, sewer liens, lawn cutting or clean ups can be negotiated and released.Last that pops to mind, they could be talking about an IRS lien or state tax lien.

I've been able to reduce subcontractor scopes significantly and drive specs below $70 for one off construction (300k townhouses to give an idea of finish level).A willingness to make big pallet purchases on material well in advance of build can help as well, liquidation sales , auctions, and Craig's List are your friends here.

I understand what Joe is saying and to an extent agree, let's not conclude that the sky is falling.I also agree that investors need to do their own due diligence, not only trying to understand the changes, but in seeking advice or materials concerning the issue.

The refrigerator was so toally disgusting with dried food it took hours to clean.I am considering taking her to small claims court because she has a steady job and I think considering the damage she has done, should compensate me financially for the lost rent and the hours of time and labor and materials it will take to get the apartment back to the condition it was in when she rented it.

RichMy take is that real properties will continue to be worth more and more US dollars (with the all-real-estate-is-local caveat thrown in of course), since the materials that make them up and the labor that builds them will just cost more and more dollars.

You can use far smaller wire to run 220v implements thus reducing the cost of materials to get 2,200 watts of power to the source
