Trying to get more info from fellow BP members if it’s a safe neighborhood and if numbers are working does it make sense to invest in that part of Fort Worth?

Chris, I haven’t used First United for a duplex, but do have experience working with them on traditional mortgages and to be honest I’m not surprised they got their info wrong, their knowledge and customer service isn’t the best (and their website isn’t user friendly at all) I would definitely talk to other banks.

But they will need to see bank statements and even credit score info before moving forward, you will have to submit for draws during the rehab, and they will hold some of the $$ back until the rehab is complete to their satisfaction.Bottom line is as an investor (from your perspective, not the lender's), you should always have the cash saved and available to fund either type of deal without having to take a loan from another source. 

I’ve looked up info in the past few weeks and read until thankfully I discovered BP, which i will say is a great help.

So at the end of the day you’re gonna need an agent or become an agent yourself to access that info.
