I hate to ask another question about Quickbooks on the forums but after reading numerous threads I haven't been able to get an answer for my situation.I recently had someone from my CPA's office help me to set up Quickbooks (my version is QB for Mac 2014).  

There are numerous ways, including here in Utah, to keep personal information off both the division of corporations website and the county land records.

There will also be UBIT in the scenario you describe.I've ran these numbers numerous times and came to the conclusion that between the difficulties of getting loans, the risk of not having enough money in the IRA to deal with a bad situation, and the UBIT taxes, that owning financed rental property in an IRA is not a good idea.

@Dustin DuFault I've seen the "re-foreclosure" routine numerous times....but it was always when the first mtgee got it back at the sale, then when they went to sell it, a title search revealed a missed junior lien holder, similar to your situation.

It just comes down to understanding people's motivations, and gathering numerous opinions before taking action.

I do mostly digital marketing now as I don't want the grind of the huge volume of contacts it takes along with the time involved at looking at numerous notes that do not meet any of my criteria.
