I put these words in quotes because the IRS and Dept of Labor and several other Govt entities will see your "contractor" as an employee of your company if you "track" them in the way I think you're referring to.

BUT, I have been reading here and other places too for a couple of years AND I have an employee who has 10+ rentals and does a GREAT job screening and dealing with tenants.....it is like having a built in mentor :).
