Software Uses for Investors

I am wondering what types of software there are on the marketplace, and what function they serve to help investors. I would love to see what folks are using out there that I may be unaware of...

I guess a more specific question is, what kinds of things are people doing with QuickBooks PRO, or equivalent, besides tracking expenses and collected rent.

Is there anyone out there using a VA to perform these types of tasks?

Thanks for your feedback!

Ian

I run a pretty boring operation from a tech standpoint. Here is what we use on a daily basis:
  • VFlyer (advertise rentals)
  • CraigsList
  • Buildium (manager rentals)
  • QuickBooks Online (accounting)
  • Evernote (keep track of to do list and important info)
  • Google Docs (keep track of partnerships)
  • Excel (project tracking, flip calculator)
  • Toktumi (landlord calls)

We switched from QuickBooks Pro to QuickBooks Online because it let's us track multiple entities in one file (using the Businesses module). It works well because I have 10+ entities (LLCs, trusts, joint ventures) that all operate the same type of business (landlord).
