Seems CA contracts do give a little time to buyers to review title, and other disclosures, before committing due diligence money, although most buyers agents will push buyers to begin due diligence before a complete review.

I have not investigated it, but that's my initial reaction, I don't think hiring a construction crew for 6 months is what they had in mind having funds committed for years. :)
