To me I think the big square looking island with the diagonal corner cabinet makes the most sense.

And, for what it's worth, the same flooring means that I can use the same paint color and don't have to worry about picking different cabinet finishes or anything else because it might have to look good with dark brown in one room and tan tile in another.
