Short of hiring an engineer to sign off on the structural integrity is there anything else I can do to ensure the repairs were done correctly?

Due to Automotive, Engineering, Bio Medical and Machine learning technologies - AI, Robotics, Fuel Cell, Driverless etc etc. 

They will burn your place down.

For a long time, prices were off the wall in the region and a lot of people got burned.

Deficiencies may include, but are not limited to: burned out light bulbs, non-working smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, inoperable doors, windows, or locking mechanisms.F.

Hello everyone,When getting into a home that has fire and water damage, what have been your issues when it came to:Evaluating the damage (for example, smoke burnt out some of the ceiling but don't know if floor joints for the upper floor are damaged without ripping down the drywall)Types of costs and fixes for fire damages (inspections, certificates from structural engineers, electricians etc)Resale Issues (buyer's offers may or may not being lower, disclosures)Look forward to hearing your experiences and what outcomes came out in your investing in these type of rehab and resale jobs.

For these locks I would change the battery  as recommended before burning out. maybe every 12-18 months.

This will ding your credit for utilization, of course, but that will happen anyway if/when lenders slash your lines just like when the banksters slashed and burned consumer credit in the crash.I don't hold with the idea that reduced values mean sell.
