A lot of us can contest even down at the permit office you can get the wrong information.Yes a faucet a permit is need reason I have seen a job in my area were someone was changing a faucet in a high rise and the value did not hold and water ran for two hours into they were able to shut the building down.So all the floors under them got damage.Permits are to help you out because they are just the construction minim standard they come out to look at.
