Demands from a Tenant

This tenant that I currently is living on one of the three floors I am renting out and is on their second renewal. She has had three chances to move out when her roommates ended their lease early but she is continuing to stay.

During this period, she has made a lot of demands which I have cooperated along in solving; things range from calling the city to replace the garbage bins to an extra-large size, which will be costing us an extra $200/year, thought this can be solved if they bothered to sort out their trash, to calling us to remove a dead animal in the backyard. We have been lenient with her, especially knowing her partner crashes at her place quite often to the point he may as well have signed the lease as well.

She has recently claimed that the smoke detector is placed too close to the kitchen for her liking and would like us to relocate it. The thing with our floor setup is that there is no living room and the only open space is the kitchen.

In the past, we had set up this particular alarm because we had smokers on the premise. This allowed us to deter them from smoking inside.

We have already informed her that changing location of the smoke detector doesn't so much. We also find it suspicious she is making this claim now.

Should we accommodate her request? How should I approach this problem.

Thanks
