With everything going on in the world right now, a story like yours is a welcome breath of fresh air through hardships.

I’m not sure why developers aren’t scooping them up, except to say that they’re fresh on the market, they’re not in a “hot” area, and there is a lot of new housing developments going on so these five little lots are probably not worth their time.

Landscaping, paint, fresh concrete, etc can dress up the outside with relatively little expense. 

Doors without damage, fresh coat of paint, if damaged ones can't be repaired inexpensively, replace-they are not that expensive for just the door. 

Are the North Shore towns you're investigating way north, or just outside the city?

Although I did pass, I feel like I would have done much better if I would have immediately taken those exams while the material was still fresh in my head.
