As a young adult or student we are forced to live like one by living on a budget(barring a ton of help from mommy and daddy or irresponsible student loan borrowing).

At that point, kids should be starting college (or whatever adult path they choose to take).

Where I live there are a few siblings or parents/adult children that have joint practices.If you are able to keep your debt below $300-400K ($43-57K per year for schooling), it will help you in the long term. 

They were all watching out for me, provided the proof of dogs at the property, extra occupants etc (It was our understanding and per the lease there would only be 3 adults over 18 living in the house plus a 7 or 8 yo boy - at one time for about 2 mos there were around 7 adults and 5-7 children 12 and under living in the home and it took pressure on him to get them out - evicting for extra occupants and unauth'd dogs is tough in KS - so I had to wait just a bit longer for non payment of rent when he felt it was more important to spend money getting a $20-$30k plus cadillac back that was repossessed while I was at the  house repossessing my $1k plus gas grille I left for them. 

It's borderline criminal what the government does to push college and student loans onto young adults when they get out of high school.

I've yet to meet a demon 1 year old but a lot of nasty entitled adults.
