In addition I naively assumed the TK would just back out the promoter's fee (i.e norada, hipster etc) but if their making the market they can easily increase it to the price as long as cash flow is attractive enough.

2) A number of gurus promote “remote†wholesaling…that is, working deals in a non-local area…if the above is true (only working your local area) is it genuinely feasible to wholesale remotely?

IMO, marketing a service does not belong in a thread where someone is seeking advice.Mark, nothing personal, I see it's your 6th post here, we just frown on slef promotion while giving opinions or advice, especially the under the radar type.
