Sometimes we want a deal so badly that we'll bend expenses to make the final number good.  

@Robert Ellis, it's a necessary evil...similar to my experience with the IRS, when you are trying to do things correctly they will bend over backwards to assist you and answer questions.

Speculation is betting on big drastic turnarounds, this is just a bet that the current trends continue, which they usually do.I don't know LA like I know the Bay Area, is there anything here shaded dark (indicating unusually high income growth) that "everyone knows" is a "rough area"?

I have an unusual request: I have a primary residence under contract and my lender has offered to kick me $1k for a home warranty.  

A friend of thought it was unusual that the lender insisted on an inspection.

The two events I go to monthly are the Fort Bend REI meeting First Tuesday of the Month at Rudy's (Hwys. 59 and 99) and the Jet Lending Super Meeting on the Third Wednesday of each Month. 

Comparing this expansion to prior expansions shows that the length of this one is not unusual.
