Does the seller really mean no business <full stop> or did he envision someone running a moderate traffic business (i.e. hair salon, tailor) or home-based auto-body shop in his front yard?   

I've been an engineering for over 7 years, working the 9-5 and sitting traffic.  

actually based in the greater long beach area.i took a quick look at PWR.net and some of their links are currently broken =/ but its the organization and their MLS access i'm interested in joining, not their website per say and well.. i'm always optimistic about supporting the little guys / startups rather than just going with the most popular which the masses flock tolet me know the good the bad of em out there?

My hubby and I own an organizing business and love what we do; however, we're looking for more...something that can utilize all of our skills (my hubby has an extensive background in construction) and is lucrative.  

It seems to be worth it if you  if you don't have a high-traffic area or landscaping to do every year .  

Some county sites are excellent with organizing information on recent sales depending on exactly what you're looking for.

I'm about to quit my day job (I own a profitable business as well) and cash my 401k to invest in a 5 unit commercial building built in 1983 in one of the highest traffic areas in my town.

Look for one that has training, coaching, and quality control within their organization.
