Newbie Alert!!

Ok, here it goes!

I'm quitting my job in 4 months to become a full time investor!!  My boyfriend/sig. other/ business partner decided that he'd had enough of my constant complaining about how much I hate my job.  I've been an engineering for over 7 years, working the 9-5 and sitting traffic.  This had been our plan all along, but on a slightly longer time table.

We currently reside in Maryland and are completely new to the game.  We've been putting in the time mostly on education.  Joe has actually listened to every single podcast, while I have been combing through the "Newbie" articles.

Our main focus is for me to become a full time flipper while he continues to work full time until we both can transition full time into our new business.  I guess that technically we've been investors for almost 2 years doing a live-in flip (never again!).  I have been obsessed with house, and housing shows, and flipping, etc. since I was little, so why did I wait until I was 30 to start...??

Our goals are right now just to not work for "the man."  Long term, we want financial freedom, enough passive income where we can do what we want to do, when we want to do it, and where we want to do it.  We are both adventurous, outdoorsy people, and working full time jobs that aren't getting us anywhere just doesn't seem worth it anymore.

We have a lot of work to do, a lot to learn, and a long way to go, but having the bigger pockets resource and community makes it all seem a little less scary.

In conclusion, THANK YOU BP!!  I'm excited, nervous, scared, and thrilled to be finally taking this journey to building our future!!
