The GC you hired should have provided you with a disclosure regarding bonds and liens pursuant to RCW 18.27.114.  

Not sure if this was just the picture or what but it caught my attention right away..Anyway like they say experience is the best teacher and while it was a tough lesson it's usually these lessons that teach you the most.One more question, was there a sellers disclosure?

Jane, if your buying the property you need to go to closing for the transaction, there are tax reports to generate, disclosures and other documents required under Texas law.
