I understand most would say I should double-down with my spouse on our business full time but 1) our industry is heavily regulated in a way that can really affect revenue so it's a priority for both of us to have another avenue of income-- if not cash flow now, then appreciation/equity. 2) my spouse and i work very differently so while we have made it work the last couple of years, it isn't conducive long term to a healthy marriage.

I recognize the simple answer is talk to a REI friendly CPA (which I plan to do), but I'm curious what others have deducted to less their own tax bill if they just acquire a couple LTRs over time.

Talk to a lender and find out (probably a couple of lenders).Ask here for lenders to DM you (they aren't supposed to DM without you asking them to).Remember, lenders want to loan money - they will work with you to figure what products they have that can work with your situation.
