Hi Keaton,I had one on a personal residence and liked it a lot.

If you lived in the house long enough to be considered Primary residence you may have a Sec 121 exemption.

I would recommend that before you start STR-ing your investment property,  that you  clean it a couple of times yourself so that you can get to know where the "dirty spots" reside. 

I don't care if they disputed it after 9 days or 9 months.
