Now, if you are setting up a vacation home in Palm Springs or similar, I would assume the decor is going to need to stay quite current with popular trends, so buying antiques off of Facebook probably isn't going to work.

So instead of gifting me the property she is deciding to sell me the property for 100k which is what she owes plus interest and that would pay off the reverse mortgage.

Hello Galen, I would highly suggest not trying to get super creative here and just form your own LLC, buy the property and put it in there, and write this one off as a win!
