We've been eyeing West Seattle due to the relative affordability and landscape but her colleagues cautioned us not to live anywhere where we need to cross a bridge to get into the city due to the traffic.

@Jose Amezaga, I suggest you look on the Small Business Administration website to help with understanding what it takes to get a business up and running. 

This website is a great resource for people just starting out in the REI world.

The HUD website home page says no updates will be made during the shutdown, so it seems uncertainty will increase the longer the shutdown lasts.
