I recently graduated college and started my career as a mechanical engineer and have recently decided that while I love my job I don't want to work for the rest of my life, and real estate investing makes the most sense to me in order to gain financial freedom before I turn 60.I have been reading a ton of real estate books and discovered the bigger pockets book on rental property investing which gave me a great introduction to all the topics and possibilities in real estate.

I guess i will have to do further research, as i know i need to go into pockets that make sense with the numbers, but also wont cause me to look over my shoulder if i have to make frewuent visits for repairs.thank you both!

Hi every one her on bigger pockets i am looking to by fixer upper houses in Newark NJ  and i am looking into REO or short sale to can force appreciation in the property. and i came across a great deal and it really sounds to good to be truth so i am trying to look over anything that could go wrong with a REOso could some pls help me out how i can find out if there is a property lien on the property with out spending  few hundred dollars for a tittle company to check it out thanks everyone

Carting around someone not all 4 of those things would not be worth it.In theory, it costs you nothing out of pocket to have a buyer's agent, but for those of us that go solo, it gives us room for more concessions.
