I would assume downtown LA is somewhat similar to downtown SD.

I have looked at similar properties in the area and they are well outside of my price range, so I think I should continue to rent for a year or 2 and look at investment properties.

Without my knowledge and consent, the tenant brought in a pit bull (or similar breed).

If other people notice that, then it's a perfect opportunity to bring down the price and then maybe build a trellis along the fence line or similar, that will block the view for much of the yard.

I would suggest, in similar fashion, start writing out your investment strategy so that you have a road map to where you want to go.

Additionally, zillow has a similar home (2BR, 1000sqft) for rent listed on the same road directly across the street for $950.How does your analysis look using ~$1000?

A recently completely renovated home with similar specs (sisters is a bit smaller) just sold on the same street for 530k.
