Did you work with any real estate professionals (agents, lenders, etc.) that you'd recommend to others?

Looking to meet individuals generally and build my network, but would also love any advice on this area, contractors, realtors, lawyers, and any other general guidance with just starting in.

In my situation, a professional clean up crew repaired everything and also didn't find any mold inside of walls before starting the cleanup and new flooring and dry walls were installed and it was over ten years ago.

Attend your local REI meetups, build up a strong network, and feel free to reach out and connect with everyone in the community.

This has been a hot topic, raising both concerns and questions among professionals and consumers alike.

Study the markets you are targeting and find investors/agents/property managers in those areas to network with.

Building a network of agents who specialize in sourcing the deals you are looking for and other investors is an additional step you can take to get more deals!

I would also hire a Home Inspector that is local to the property you are buying so that at least you can have some sort of "professional eyes" on the property.Hiring a home inspector might be more cost-beneficial to you too. 

I'd be sure to network and bring some value to them as well.
