Appreciation per county is different depending on the methods being used.If it's method using actual dollar value :Then as usual the highest appreciation from 1980 is Santa Clara county (Palo Alto/Santa Clara and such) followed by city like Redwood city/Cupertino/Las Altos/Los Gatos/etc.But if it's appreciation from 2015, the highest would be Alameda county. From 2000-2023, San Francisco is at the top followed by San Jose and then town like San Ramonbut from 2015-2023, San Francisco is declining fast, and the current avg home in SF is actually the same as San Jose right now, while the highest is San Ramon/east bay.
