The ceiling would be painted white, and the walls could be painted all one colour including the trim, or two colours, perhaps with the walls painted a neutral colour and the trim painted in semi-gloss white.The second option would be to knock down the stucco and plaster it smooth, then paint it, leaving the trim where it is.

Recently when in a bind because my regular contractors were busy on other jobs and the backup guy I had scheduled bailed on me at the last minute because of an injury I actually used Craigslist to find new painters and carpenters.Lots of folks responded so I had to be careful who to hire of course. but, bottom line, the carpenter I found is great.

If you really want to get all the water out, there should be a valve on the side of the tank near the bottom, either plastic or metal, with garden hose threads on it.
