Im a rookie investor trying to get started in the real estate world in the cleveland ohio area wondering if that was good area to start with or just to start in my own backyard of Jersey.

Great margins, lower risk (purchase price for some of these areas are very low considered to more expensive places like New Jersey, CA, New York, etc), etc.

My friend is moving to New Jersey & he is needing to know decent areas where to buy a multifamily property.

I currently rent a room in Central Jersey in a 3 bedroom 3 bathroom condo.

I've been trying to figure out the rent ordinances in all of the cities I'm looking to invest in in Hudson County (West New York, Jersey City, North Bergen, Weehawken, Union City).  

@Diane GAnd I thought New Jersey was bad, with their Anti-Eviction laws that favor the tenants.

I moved from New Jersey about a year ago for a new job opportunity and just bought my first 3 family in new Britain.

My town in New Jersey is going through a large 46 acre redevelopment, for which they are tearing down vacant strip malls and redeveloping with 800 apartment units, retail shopping, mass transit to NYC (busses), technology center and medical building.

In my market (northern New Jersey) the competition and demand is so fierce that sold price will easily be 100k over list.
