So many of the books and podcasts say to get outside your comfort zone.I’m making about 5.5k a month.

I started reading from real estate books (Rich Dad, Poor Dad, etc), but honestly couldn't focus enough with all that was going on and decided to focus on my health.  

So I'll add here that you're better off starting by reading multi-family books (including two of David Lindahl), listening to podcasts, asking questions on BP, networking.)

Would anyone have any good Investor/Entrepreneur book recommendations? 

My short term goal is to learn as much as possible through books, BP site/members, and BP podcasts that I listen to everyday.

Have you checked the book on No Money Down, it's a good resource on different creative financing ideas?

    I would respectfully ditch the friend that is an agent, and find an agent (or agents) that are seasoned and can help guide you, as a first step. 

This is going to help you stay booked and run a great STR.
