I'm reminded of a line from "Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan": after saving the ship and now dying from radiation burns, Spock tells Kirk, "The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few - or the one."

This was just a little venting about where I'm currently at in my home buying process so I can come back after I've got property to remind myself of the tough part is over.

Yes, it certainly sounds like a high water table area to get that much water constantly filling up the sump pump.Just a reminder that in the winter to unhook your long exterior sump pump drain house if you have one outside, as the water inside will freeze in the line and the water the sump tries to push out will have nowhere to go and run back into the sump pit. 

This was a quick lesson reminding us to not cut corners.

As I had to re-read my initial thread to remind myself of what I was doing at that time (about a year) I have actually done a little more extensive research around banks. 

@Sam Horton I am aware of the new regs which are now in effect, but hadn’t taken that into consideration in my analysis – so appreciate the reminder!

If you don't coordinate with a team and don't need a bunch of reminders about due dates, I'd probably just look to build a free Airtable or Google Sheets setup.

It's a nice history lesson and a reminder to be grateful for modern amenities.
