In our current home, we made the garage into a studio apartment and are renting both the 2 bed 1 bath side and soon the studio too.

Things do happen and plans change so typically the bank will not care if payments are made.

I don't know the answer to this, but if you did move into one of your flips and made it your primary, how would capital gains tax work when you sold? 

A mistake I made early on was I was paying for a high-brow accountant, but I didn't end up needing or even using all of the advisory and strategies available to me through him. 

When I got started, I didn't understand just how significant of a part construction and construction management knowledge is in this business and in my experience anything you can learn from that perspective will pay off long-term in money saved and made on your projects.If you want it bad enough, you'll figure out a way to make it happen!
