I coordinate real estate educational sub groups for the Local REIA in the Philadelphia Real Estate Market.

I want to get my license to gain additional education as well as the other benefits for personal investing in residential properties.

In fact, my only investments so far are in books and other educational tools.

Instead, concentrate on finding a company that will give you the education you need to go out and make those millions.If you go with the per fee, discount brokers, you may not get the training you're looking for and you'll probably get thrown into the lions den... and you won't be coming out of it.Plus, just because you sign on with a broker doesn't mean you're there for life. 

Who knows if it will be accepted, but just going through the process has been incredibly educational.

Final question - do you think you are ready to look for deals, or do you agree with me that while the impetus of your thinking is in the right direction, what you really need is to educate yourself :)?

It does serve as proof that I am highly interested in the business and education of real estate.

I have been interested in real estate for a long long time and I think finally I am going to start getting educated and try and do something with it since my IT job of 18 years is about to come to and end.
