Believe it or not, appraisals are very subjective.

My experience in Chicago, which is obviously a primary market, would lead me to believe that there are simply more agents who know what they are doing in a large metro area. 

The population there has been flat for the last 10 years or so, I dont live in the area but it doesnt look like there is any significant reason to believe the population will make a big swing one way or the other.

In fact, I believe I'm the only one on my street with a 2 car garage that has 2 cars parked in the garage (and my garage also has a workbench and all my power tools despite only being about 20 feet long).

I believe you can make it work anywhere its just a matter of what you are comfortable doing.  

We literally just took over the property last month so I don't have too much info on this but I believe where we are, it's pretty safe neighborhood.

i believe it is legal ?

I believe the work needs to be done but maybe this work would be overdoing it because the basement isn't finished.

I've always believed that balance or sort of the middle of the road answer is the best.Having said that, let me argue both sides of the issue.
