But before I give you my play-by-play, let me first overview what this concept includes for anyone new to property management or owning rental properties.

Talk to the current owner to see how long the leases have been in place and the look up local laws to see what happens when the original lease ends (typically 1 year) and what happens if no end date is stated.

Contracting and subcontracting services, like plumbing, generally don’t count unless tied directly to real estate you own.Are you considering acquiring rental properties or engaging in real estate development where you would personally manage or oversee those properties?

Would like to keep the property for down the road, but realizing I might be better off to get a place in town with more space and try to turn this place into an investment property for the time being instead.
