I come from the commercial construction side of the spectrum, so I might be a little bit pickier than most.However, my biggest pet peeve is cleanliness on the jobsite, especially in someone's home (i.e remodel).

I have an older child(16) who has severe anxiety and depression and has a cat as her emotional support pet, so when this lady's cat comes.to our window my daughter's cat freaks out scratching my child.

I have had a 'no pets' policy but I'd allow it. 

I accept pets in my rentals, but I limit it to 2.

Think of all the things that could go wrong and see if the lease addresses them: unauthorized pets or tenants, early termination, security deposit, lease violations, late rent, eviction, lawn maintenance, parking, etc.5.

You can also try pouring boiling water over the roots to kill it if you are worried about pets or kids.
