think bigger. we build a triplex that's very popular in columbus. for house hacking unless you want to live with your tenants or rent bedrooms out push the dwelling units up and run the numbers. as long as you can qualify for it 

We want to buy a multi family of 2-3 units and house hack by living in one and renting out the other one or two units.

One was the home address that I initially entered, two were duplicates of an employer's address from about 20 years ago, one was an old Mailbox Etc address that I had about 20 years ago, one was an out-of-state address from about 35 years ago, and there was a duplicate of that address with an incorrect zip code and street name suffix, and the last one was an apartment that I lived in when I was in college a long time ago.

Depending where you live, cash flow is not king.

FL NO,MAYBE you will get 3% ,  I live in FL and its all very overpriced.

Since myself And another partner are local we plan to live in the first one while we understand the process of what it takes to build and get some experience under our belt then the plan is to scale from there, really just need to get our feet in the door to which I appreciate the connect with Jennie.

I also have invested on the north side of the city in Albany Park and Irving Park neighborhoods because I was comfortable with them after having lived there back in grad school. 

There is up front costs like dividing the living room into 2 more bedrooms etc plus the simplier furnishing.   

We do plan to remodel a bath which would not be possible with a tenant living there.
