@Filipe Pereira,Yes - even mid-level rehabs sometimes need an architect, especially when someone wants to remove a load bearing wall to make a more open living space, or make changes in the support for the main floor joists, etc.Sometimes people will add a story to a 1-story home.

That 3rd fact to me makes me lean towards a mentor IF:you can find the right one who can actually teach you...show you by example what you need to do to become successful (ie: blueprint for success)has a track record of successful students that have blazed a path before you showed up.Look, If the right mentor can shave 10 years of mistakes and drastically shorten your learning curve in any given profession or sport I would bear the question. .
